Terms of Use

Last updated August 27, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Use apply to Run My Pockets at www.runmypockets.com. They are not legal advice. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who May Use It

Run My Pockets is for individuals only. There are no household or shared budgets. You must be able to form a contract where you live. One person, one account — do not share your password.

The Service

We provide an envelope budget with Safe-to-Spend: you enter income and spending, we allocate into envelopes and goals, and we keep a stored leftover pool. Launch is desktop web and mobile web. A native app may come later.

Core envelope setup and management stay free. A paid plan may later unlock smart calculations and bank sync. Prices are not set. There is no live checkout in this build, and nothing here is an offer at a specific price.

There is no bank sync at launch. Figures in the app come from what you type. We are not a bank, advisor, or lender.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anyone other than yourself as an individual.
  • Break the law, harass others, or upload malware or content you do not have the right to use.
  • Probe, scrape, or overload the service, or try to reach another person’s account or data.
  • Reverse engineer the product except where the law says you may.
  • Resell access or present the service as your own.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, or if we have to for security or legal reasons.

Your Data and Our Rights

You own the budget information you enter. You give us permission to host and process it so the app can work, as described in the Privacy Policy. The Run My Pockets name, site, and software stay ours (and our licensors’).

No Warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that allocation math, sliders, or dates will be error-free or fit a particular purpose. You are responsible for the numbers you enter and for decisions you make with them. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. If we are liable anyway, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim — which may be zero while the core product is free.

Closing an Account

You may stop using the service at any time. To delete your account, use Settings, or email hello@runmypockets.com. We may keep limited records if the law requires it.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Disputes will be heard in the courts of Texas.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after a posted change means you accept the new terms.
